5 Stars A Great Camera and a Bargain Kit
The Olympus 1010 is a great camera. I bought one for my wife for Christmas and was so impressed by it that I bought one for myself after. This camera comes up quickly, has incredible zoom, is simple to use and takes clear, realistic images. The camera has many features and options for taking all types of pictures from panoramic stitching to macro modes for extreme close ups. Twenty minutes spent with the manual makes you an expert and helps you to configure the options so the type of photography that you are planning comes out perfectly. The software that comes with it loads easily, on Windows XP Pro, and has many useful editing features and will update the camera firmware when it is attached. Both the camera, with PictBridge, and the software will automatically enhance the picture for printing, so you do not necessarily have to fuss with every picture. A good home general use package.
The real deal was the price for the bundled kit from Cameta Camera. They have several offerings, with different items included in each kit at different price points. I bought the kit with an extra battery, XD memory card, small tripod, camera case and USB card reader for less than some places sell the bare camera. My wife’s kit had the extra battery, XD memory card, camera case and a car charger for the battery.
I am very pleased with the camera(s) and the kit(s). A great price for an outstanding general use camera that takes terrific pictures. Cameta was fast on delivery with good communication and a great price.
