2 Stars Finicky with JPEG
Despite being warned on this message board about the device not displaying certain jpeg format pictures
that were generated by other tools such as Adobe Photoshop, I decided to go ahead and purchase it anyway.
Sadly, the warnings were confirmed. Some of the pictures that I wanted to display were from more than 20 years ago which obviously were scanned and processed using Photoshop on my Mac. The jpegs were not displayable on the DPF.
The Web was not of much help.
I finally did manage to get it all working (somewhat of a kluge).
I imported the non-DPF-displayable jpegs to Adobe Flash and then simply turned around and exported as
a jpeg. The resulting jpeg is DCF compliant (the only kind Sony can display).
Obviously, this is not a clean solution because it assumes you have the Adobe CS tools.
But if you are into digitizing old film photographs and want to display them on the DPF, this might help.
5 Stars Great d-frame
I bought this as a gift for my brother and he and his family loves it. Quick shipping and great product.
4 Stars Sony Digital Photo Frame
Sony DPF-V900 9-Inch Digital Photo Frame
Frame functions as expected. 9-inch picture is clear and has good color accuracy, contrast, clarity, and the remote works well. Accomodates USB and memory cards/sticks with ease.
The only downside is a lack of detailed instructions for using the remote; it is a very versatile unit but rquires “playing with” to learn the operation. Not at all dificult, and I recommend it.
5 Stars Great Product!
I purchased this photo frame as a Father’s Day gift for my husband. Not being particularly techno-savvy I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to load it with pictures before-hand but had ABSOLUTELY no problems! Directions were clear and the USB cable from my camera plugged right into the frame and allowed me to download 400 pictures in no time. The frame works like a charm, and the picture definition is amazing. Would highly recommend!!
5 Stars High Quality Frame
The Sony 9″ frame has great resolution, holds alot of pics and has nice features, such as cascading-fading-clock-calender. I have it in my office and clients can’t believe the quality/resolution. I have to say it is a bit more that some of the others but you get what you pay for.
