4 Stars Performed as advertised for me
Screen is very clear and sharper than older frames that I’ve owned. It worked just as described right out of the box. I suppose the one thing I do find a tad annoying is that it determines slide order ONLY by the order you import the images into the frame. So…when I want to change the order on the frame, I have to erase all the images and then re-import them one by one in the new order. Honestly, since I don’t do that very often it’s not a problem. The price and quality of image make it worth it to me.

The frame played the slide show using internal memory well, but did not use the compact flash card to play the slide show. I called Viewsonic, took me nearly two hours with the customer service rep before he finally decided to repair it and then agreed to change it.
Wait for three weeks after they get your back and then I got new piece.
BAD NEWS, it still has the same problem.
Otherwise picture quality is not bad.
Poor customer service team (No knowledge of the product, read the manual to help me and then took me through the manual to see if I was operating it all right).
BUY IT IF YOU JUST WANT 512 Mb CAPACITY. or if it is for 5-10 dollars.
1 Stars Avoid Viewsonic Frame
I ordered the 7″ ViewSonic Frame as a Father’s Day Gift for a friend. The on/off switch quit working after two days. As soon as you release the switch the screen goes black again. I returned it for replacement. The replacement came with a switch that also did not function, and the top 1/3 of the screen did not display. I returned it immediately and instead ordered the Philips which works great.

Everything works fine except a limitted number of pictures and video clip that can be shown with internal limitted momory capacity. It would be nice if additional memory card can be installed and also if flash card can be used. I am a little disppointed with limitted capabilities.

I purchased the ViewSonic DPX704BK 7-Inch Digital Photo Frame w/800×480 Resolution as a gift. The product does what it promises–show photos, so the problem is really my understanding of digital photo frames. It is one of the lower end 50-60 dollars. The problems are a. remember that one must provide their own memory stick with photos/or digital card with photos so this is an extra cost. b. I have yet to figure out the process well, it is not intuitive and I found the directions difficult to negotiate and c. most important the photos lack clarity/crispness and are basically disappointing. This is because the resolution is low end–the manufactures state what the format is so this is my fault it is just that one has no idea what the photo result will be. I ended up buying a digital photo frame more near 100 dollars and ended up with more pixels/resolution. So I think if you are looking for a nice format for your photos you need to eschew the low end products.
