4 Stars Best Bang for your Buck!
The bokeh is super smooth with this lens, would def recommend this lens for any beginner to pro to keep in their bag. Its the best bang for your buck for low light or portrait pics.
4 Stars Good starter lens for low light/night type photography
Even though the lens is a plastic body with non-metal mount, the choices it opens for low light photography at this price are worth it.
I would tend to think that this could act as a transition lens for people looking into venturing the low light/night photography. Instead of spending hundreds more into a much better prime lens (or zoom for that matter) that has wider aperture and pro quality, this lens could give the option of low light photography and a chance to get-used-to with such low light environments.
The experience with this lens will then enable the person to get educated enough in deciding which pro lens to buy for night photography and also what type of things to look for in such a lens.
At this price with all these benefits, I think this is worth it for someone attempting to venture into such a photographic world. It could help them get educated by using it to be then able to buy a good quality pro lens with confidence.
I have had it for a few weeks now and thus far, I’m pleased with what it does at that price level.
5 Stars great value .. great performance…
this lens is a must for any canon dslr..
super sharp, great low light performance with f1.8 ….
auto focus is average, and it feels like a toy, but the pictures are really good.
i find myself using this lens 80% of the time, than my 55-250mm and then the 18-55…
