With a new design and features inspired by members of the professional creative community, Intuos4 redefines the pen tablet experience. Featuring Wacom¿s new pen tip sensor technology and 2,048 levels of pen pressure sensitivity, the Intuos4 pen captures the most subtle nuances of pressure, allowing you to dynamically adjust exposure, brush size, opacity and more. User-defined ExpressKeys activate frequently used shortcuts and modifiers, while the accompanying, illuminated ExpressKey displays on the medium, large and extra large models, provide a constant reminder of each key¿s function. The finger-sensitive Touch Ring quickly controls up to 4 different functions such as canvas rotation, zoom, scroll, brush size and more

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Loved it
My daughter the graphic artist (wannabe) is squealing with delight over this thing. It’s pricey, but it’s quite cool.

4 Stars Nice little tablet for the Price
I’ve used the large on screen and about four other tablets and use this for my home use. Overall, it is a nifty little tablet for someone who is not using it professionally. If a professional, I’d opt for the larger tablets or monitor displays.

4 Stars Large size a plus
First of all, I’m not a professional graphic artist and don’t have a legitimate need for a computer tablet. This was more of a fun thing to have at home, and my teenage son enjoys drawing a great deal so we’ve gotten plenty of use from this tablet over the last 9 months.

The different levels of pressure sensitivity is pretty amazing - very much like actually drawing on paper. The softer you press the lighter and thinner the line is on the screen, and conversely the heavier you press the darker and bigger the line is. The scroll wheel is nice and allows you to change pen sizes quickly and easily, and a button on the pen changes between pen or brush types. The back end of the pen can even be used as an eraser making it very much like drawing for us “old school” types. The customizable ExpresKeys are handy and can be configured for left or right-handed persons, although it would have been nice if they had been differently sized or otherwise differentiated by touch in some way. The pen holder is much nicer than the one that comes with the smaller Bamboo tablet. The writing-to-text conversion feature was interesting and the kids had fun with it, but unnecessary in my opinion. The only real negatives we identified were that the mouse must be used on the tablet surface to work, which was a little awkward sometimes when you’re trying to draw. Also, we were unable to get the PhotoShop canvas rotation feature to work (with the scroll wheel). We are not such heavy users of it that we had any trouble with the pen nibs wearing out in the last 9 months, unlike some who use it much more.

We also have the small Wacom Bamboo Fun Tablet and the larger size of the medium Intuos4 is definitely a plus. But the small one was certainly adequate for our non-professional needs, so if you’re just looking for a computer tablet for general use and price is an issue the smaller one will do. But if cost isn’t an issue, the bigger tablet surface is awfully nice to have.

4 Stars Wacom Intous4
New features such as the Touch Ring & Radial Menu make navigation easy.

Nice design as well.

My only complaint is they made the surface more rough which wears down my pen nibs way too fast.

If I could have the touch ring & radial menu with the Intous3 surface I would be truly happy.

5 Stars A must for photoshop user
This device is a must for photoshop users. Allows for more precise selections when masking as opposed to using a mouse. Short cut keys and wheel eliminates the need to search for these keys on your keyboard and makes scrolling and rotating your work effortless. There are two positions for the power cord which determines left or righthandedness. The pressure sensitivity of the pen is too sweet. Received free copies of Corel painter sketch pad and photoshop elements 7, for which I upgraded to CS4 for 50% discount. Additional brushes and filters from Color Efex pro. It actually paid for itself with the software freebies. These freebies may be for a limited time. I am in the process of going completely paperless in my office so I plan to purchase the smaller version to capture signatures of patients and to sign emails on the fly.

The ZS3 records HD motion images at a smooth 60 frames per second with 1280 x 720-pixel resolution. It uses the AVCHD (MPEG-4/H.264) format, via AVCHD lite, which stores less data than other formats and thus lets you shoot more minutes of HD motion images before running out of memory.Just set the camera to iA mode, aim and shoot. The camera does all the rest. It automatically determines the most suitable scene mode and helps correct blurring, focus, and brightness problems. With iA mode, it’s easy to get beautiful, clear results. In the ZS3, iA mode cannot be used when shooting motion images. The ZS3 packs a LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens with 12x optical zoom into a compact body. This versatile photographic tool lets you shoot everything from sweeping vistas at the 25mm wide-angle setting to dynamic 300mm telephoto shots. And the lens system’s exquisite rendering ability lets you capture even the subtle nuances of the sights and scenes in your travels.

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Great Camera, Terrible video software
This camera is great, except that the software to work with the mts video (AVCHD) files is terrible, so I bumped it down to only 3 stars. Shame on panasonic for making such as great camera and then giving a half-wit piece of software to download videos. The video is not easy to upload using Windows XP using Panasonic’s supplied software - PhotoFunStudio. I still cannot figure out how to delete videos off the storage card - when I try to do it, the it screws up the imbedded index and I cannot access the videos again. It’s more like Photo-”not fun or easy”-Studio. I paid extra to get the good video quality, but like others - have not been able to enjoy it for the problems and challenges that this software creates when trying to retrieve the files. I recommend the camera, but now need to find a solution for the videos stuck on the storage card.

5 Stars Lumix DMC-ZS3 amazes
This camera is awesome. It is my second Lumix. Love the HD video. I wish amazon had given options to purchase a second battery with the camera to have a spare. The ones listed said “compatible with speciic Panasonic Lumix cameras” but didn’t list the product number. So I ended up with 2 batteries that don’t fit my camera and I have to send them back.

5 Stars Great point and shoot!
I bought this camera for my dad. I got to use it for about 10 days. Wow has so many features my big DSLR has. The superzoom is really nice to have. Some settings you cant use it although. The HD videos are great, takes up whole screen on PC and looks very clear. Suggest a tripod for this. I think with 8 gig card it said 105 minute video could be taken at highest setting.

The lens is very nice, the burst mode is a very nice feature to have.Pictures are very clear and vibrant. Plus the lens is wide angle.

I have the canon powershot sd850 an the Lumix is so much better. I want it for me now.

5 Stars The best megazoom camera out there
I got everything and more I ever wanted in this tiny package. I just ordered another two batteries, a screen protector, carrying case and I’ll never need another camera again. It’s sturdy yet light. It’s a little thick but it zooms beyond expected. I love this camera. It’s worth every penny!!!!!

5 Stars Excellent camera and value!
If you want a great camera with a very good video option, this is the best value on the market. The LCD is huge and makes taking pictures a breeze. I am a Panasonic fan, and I am not disappointed.

Starting at 4GB, SDHC cards offer larger-volume data storage and optimized recording performance with support for FAT 32 file formats. In addition, KingstonâTMs SDHC cards use new speed “class” ratings known as Class 2, 4 and 6 that deliver a minimum data transfer rate for optimum performance with SDHC devices.

Although identical in size to todays standard SD card, the new SDHC cards are designed differently and are only recognized by SDHC host devices. To ensure compatibility, look for the SDHC logo on cards and host devices (cameras, camcorders, etc.).

For added reliability and durability, our solid-state SDHC memory cards are built of nonvolatile memory components and have no moving parts that could wear out or break. All cards are 100-percent tested and are backed by a lifetime warranty and free live technical support.Kingston and Amazon.com have teamed up to offer this item in Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging, a recyclable, easy-to-open alternative to traditional packaging. A Frustration-Free Package comes without excess packaging materials such as wire ties, hard plastic “clamshell” casings, and plastic bindings. It’s designed to be opened without the use of a box cutter or knife and will protect your product just as well as traditional packaging. This item ships in its own box, without the need for an additional shipping box, and Amazon.com is continuing to work with manufacturers to make the packaging even more streamlined.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Hi-Speed and works with Nikon D60/D40
It is really high-speed (as compared to older SD cards) in terms of saving the picture to the card. I have the older cards from 2006-2008 timeframe with 1GB/2GB capacity and this new card is lot more faster than those. The 8 Gig capacity is well enough for normal photo shooting purpose, esp. if you shoot in RAW format. Recommended.

5 Stars Memory Card
This memory card has a lot of room on it. I have yet to fill it up. No problems with it.

5 Stars Excellent for MP3/Video Players!
Bought this for my son’s Zen, to hold movies. It’s a good amount of extra storage for a great price.

5 Stars A great card for the price, plus frustration free packaging is amazing
If you need a solid, non-flashy card for your digital camera, you can’t go wrong with Kingston. I’ve had them for 10 years in various devices and I’ve only had a problem caused by the camera itself. Kingston, to their credit and their amazing warranty, replaced it quickly. I couldn’t find a receipt for it, but they replaced it no problem. That’s great service.

The card is rated as a Class 4 card, so it can handle greater than writes of 4 Mb/s to the card. For photography, it doesn’t matter unless you’re using a high-end digital SLR (writing large files is an annoyance.) If you plan on filming video, the card should be fine for AVHCD lite (720p HD) but when in doubt, go for the faster (Class 6 or higher) SDHC cards. I have one of these cards for a Canon Powershot G10 shooting 15mb RAW files, and it works flawlessly.

The Amazon Frustration-Free packaging is another benefit. One of the things I hate about getting memory cards is that shrink wrapped plastic. If you’re like me, you grab the nearest sharpest object to open those plastic clamshells and try to open it in such a way where you don’t injure yourself. Instead, it’s eco friendly AND I don’t have to worry about the off-chance I’ll injure myself, turning a $13 card into an expensive emergency room visit.

4 Stars Works Just Fine
I’ve used a couple of these cards, both in my Elph Camera and in my Kindle, and they have worked just fine. No problems to report. When I bought it on Amazon, the price was competitive, but always be sure to shop around a bit.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 camera combines style with power and intelligence.
5 Stars AWESOME!
I was so sick of buying camera after camera and being unsatisfied. Short term I was trying to buy an inexpensive camera, but got what I paid for.

This camera is wonderful! I will get straight to the point in the future. Pictures turn out crisp and clear. You would swear I had a camera that is double the price.

2 Stars Sony has lost its lustre as a consumer tech giant
For years I thought SONY was the consumer Tech leader and innovator, that was up until I purchased the DSC T90! This camera is/was a gift for my wife, I am trying to ween her off a Canon film SLR. I was looking for an easy to use point and shoot camera that would be dependable and easy on the pocketbook; so far so good. Amazon shipped the camera promptly and all was well.

Upon opening the box, there is a printed message that states ” do not contact the Seller if you are experiencing trouble with this product”. I know from previous experiences THAT IS NEVER A GOOD SIGN!

Shrugging off that ominous message, I put an 8Gb Memory Stick Duo card in the device. I got a message to “re-insert memory card”. I tried inserting other compatible memory cards and the only one that worked is a 2GB card. I went to Sony’s website signed up for a chat session with their digital camera guys and got the bad news the camera has to be returned to Sony for service! No way was I going to return a brand new product to any manufacturer for service. I notified Amazon of my issues and they promptly sent me a new replacement Sony DSC T90.

Upon getting the new replacement camera, I installed a 8GG memory stick duo and got the message “re-insert memory card”! Ugh!!!

Now I have the choice of living with a camera that will accept only 2GB memory sticks or send it back and start all over again.

Shame on SONY!

4 Stars A good point and shoot camera
I ordered this camera after I had experienced disastrous results with an Olympus point and shoot camera (12 mega pixels at fine setting to get a halfway decent picture).

Some people say that the menu on this camera is confusing or awkward. I didn’t really find that. Once I had set my preferences, I have had no call to alter them since. Pictures are very clear and sharp. I did find the lens cover a little different to deal with at first, but now I am used to it.

I cannot really comment upon how good or bad the battery life is as I have not really subjected it to sustained use, or, a long video session.

I am not really a “photo buff” but this camera has exceeded my expectations in regard to quality and ease of use. It does everything that I want it to do and more. I just wish I had never wasted my money on the Olympus to begin with.

The only con with this camera is that you really do need to purchase extra memory (but this is not confined to Sony; most camera makes are the same). It arrives with enough memory to take a few pictures. I already had compatible memory and once I installed it I was told that I had enough capacity to take 10,000 pictures at 3 mega pixels. I haven’t yet worked out how many battery charges will be needed to achieve that!

Bottom line; I can’t speak highly enough about this camera. Most camera reviews in this class are mediocre at best and obviously you get what you pay for; but for a non-professional who wants a camera that takes good pictures in a variety of situations, then this is probably a camera worthy of further investigation.

5 Stars T90
I really enjoy my new camera with all it’s features. I was looking for a good camera that was small enough to carry in my pocket, yet powerful enough to provide me with good quality and many good features. The Sony Cyber-shot has done just that.

5 Stars Amazing -Like. No. Other.
I purchased it through here, I read all information about it even rated from those people who purchased too. I was a little bit doubt because my oldest sony cybershot was good, not the best but unfortunately it was stolen. I got casio exilim, i did like it but it was really not my type. So I finally made a decision and i did purchase it here.:) I got it today and i loved it already. That Sony Cyber-shot T90 is the number six of all in all digital cameras report. No wondering, it is totally like no other. Its all POSITIVE. Negative is not there as I looked around it. You should purchase and play with it. you would say the same

The PowerShot G11 is a compact camera that will find favor with professionals and advanced amateur photographers due to its superb image quality, full manual control of settings, and RAW shooting capability. If it’s not practical or safe to carry a large DSLR a high-specification compact such as the PowerShot G11 is a fantastic choice. It’s great for photographers looking to capture high resolution, high quality, and low light images without having to carry a large SLR system in their kit bags. The G11 features face detection technology that can detect and track numerous faces within the frame to ensure the correct exposure and focus for them. An enhanced i-Contrast system optimizes the dynamic range of subjects to deliver shadow details whilst avoiding highlight blow outs.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Very satisfied with G11
I researched, and researched cameras as I wanted to upgrade from the Canon SD550 Elph that I have used for years. At my suggetion, my husband purchased the G11 for me for Christmas. I opened the box on Christmas Eve as we left for a trip. I was amazed at the quality of the photos I was taking “out of the box”–no reading, no research. I did know the basics, but using the Auto setting and/or the low light setting produced beautiful photos. Plus, I used the camera for an entire week, taking nearly 300 photos without needing to recharge the battery. Very satisfied with the zoom. I read a lot of negative reviews in my research, but I have found nothing to complain about. Don’t believe those negative reviews if you plan to use the camera for enjoyment and you are an above average photographer. The only adjustment I had to make is the larger size and heavier weight of the G11 over the Elph. It still fits in my purse, and the superior photo quality is the trade off.Lowepro G-Res 10 Camera Pouch (Black). Buy the $19.99 camera case to keep it safe. I’m glad I waited to buy the G11.

5 Stars Easy HDR Captures with the G11
I bought the Canon G11 specifically to have a camera that would allow me to get into HDR photography without spending an arm and a leg for what is essentially a hobby. so far, I have not been disappointed. It is easy to use, takes beautiful photographs at very high resolution, and has just about any feature you would want unless you’re looking for a point-and-shoot with HD video capability.

The large, bright LCD screen swivels out and around so you can bend over to shoot a ground shot, fold it back into the camera for hand-held, and most importantly fold it up when finished shooting to protect the screen. It has nice selection dials on top to adjust ISO, exposure, and shooting modes quickly by hand rather than fishing through menus. The menus are well organized and have easy to read letters and icons. It took only about 20 minutes to explore it all and get the camera set up the way I wanted it.

High Dynamic Range photography requires that you shoot 2 or more shots at different exposures to get a full range of detail and color in the highlights, mid-range and shadows. The G11 makes this very easy. Set the camera in Aperture priority mode, with the aperture set wider for shallow depth of field and smaller for a greater depth of field.

Use a tripod. The Manfrotto Modo is literally perfect for this camera and will let you get all the way down to the ground for macro shots or up to or above eye level depending on your height; it’s affordable and lightweight with a great joystick handle and bubble level built in. Any tripod will do for HDR with the G11.

In the menu, select autobracketing and increase the range of the 3 shots it will take to -2, 0 and +2 exposure stops. Then, click the timer button and select a 2-second timer delay. Those two steps are key, and you have to select them again each time you turn the camera back on. Getting a 4-stop latitude with 3 exposures will give you great results for HDR. Using a 2-second timer with your tripod eliminates the need for a remote or cable release to keep the camera absolutely still when taking the 3 exposures, which it fires off automatically in autobracket mode.

I shoot JPEGs at the half-resolution Large setting, which gives you big images with smaller file sizes. I know some photographers also recommend shooting RAW + JPEG for HDR, but right now I am not doing that. I expect it would give me more latitude in editing, so I may try that in the future. Right now, I use auto-white balance, which is fast and accurate. I also use Aperture priority to make sure the depth of field does not change when it’s taking my 3 autobracket exposures.

That’s it. Now you can take your 3-shot sets back to the computer, and open them up in your HDR software to make your composite. I use Photomatix Pro, which is generally regarded as the best HDR software. [...] has a great tutorial on HDR and you can get a discount code for the software there. With Photomatix, you don’t really need to use Photoshop; however, if you already own Photoshop CS2 or higher you can “merge to HDR” your three photos and then do tone mapping. Photomatics does all that with just two buttons, and has lots of sliders for tweaking the results. Trey Ratcliff also recommends noise reduction software after tone mapping an HDR; I haven’t gotten that yet, but with the right tweaking you might not need it.

The G11 has a bunch of presets for different shooting conditions. I have never seen a camera with modes like “Aquarium,” “Fireworks,” and “Underwater” but the G11 has them. It shoots SD video, but it’s higher resolution than most SD video I have seen. Not HD, but close. It has many of the features of a DSLR, but costs much less than a DSLR with comparable features. I debated getting this or the Nikon D40, but went with the Canon G11 because it has autobracketing, which the D40 does not.

The smaller, lighter Canon Powershot S90 is $100 cheaper than the G11, has an actual control ring around the lens, and is a lot more low profile, but has all the same features except an actual viewfinder and no swivel LCD. It’s easier to carry around, but seems like it would be just a little harder to use because it has a pop-up flash where you would want to hold it with your left hand, and the other option is to hold it with your thumb over part of the LCD screen. Also, without the swivel LCD, it’s harder to get low or ground shots or over-the-head shots. That said, it’s the same camera basically as the G11, and that includes the DIGIC 4 processor, which is the same used by the $2,700 Canon 5D Mark II. The G11 and S90 also use CCD sensor chips, which are a little better than most CMOS chips, and with the DIGIC 4 processor you get better low-light performance out of them.

For a more all-inclusive review of the G11, I recommend Ken Rockwell’s excellent website, where he has reviews on just about every camera and lens Nikon or Canon have made plus many others.

To sum up, I am very satisfied with my G11 Powershot. It is a suitable DSLR replacement for most photography opportunities, and produces great results for HDR compositions. Here’s a link to my small Flikr HDR collection; and as always, there are much better examples of HDR out there, but this is what I’ve been able to do in just a few days with the G11:[...]

Again, here’s a great tutorial on HDR Photography: [...]

5 Stars Sweet Travel or General Purpose Camera!
I have owned a number of Canon G cameras including the G3 and G9. I think this is a very worthy successor to the line. After a month of ownership, about 750 pictures and thousands of miles travelled with it, I can report that I am very pleased with it. My primary needs for this camera are something compact that I can throw in a carry on bag for travel or something that I can conveniently grab at home for a party or for Internet images. It must have excellent image quality, offer advanced features and controls and accept an external flash. The G11 meets all of these requirements and offers a few bonus features such as a built in ND filter, very good video (but non-HD which I don’t care about) and a superb swivel display.

I find camera operation very straightforward and I really appreciate the abundance of dials for ISO, Exposure Compensation, Modes and more. For me, it feels faster than software menus and is easily double checked visually. Power up is fast as is autofocus and I have rarely found myself waiting for the camera to catch up to me. This makes it well suited for travel or child photography where you must seize the moment. The lens range is excellent, particularly the wide end of 28 mm which again is very useful for travel where you may be shooting in tight interiors or trying to capture groups of people or large vistas. As with all lenses of this type, there is noticeable barrel distortion at the wide end which is correctable in post processing. Shooting small product images for auctions or sharing on the Internet is easy with the macro mode and the swiveling screen. The flash does a fair job of throttling down for close range. Macro shots might work better with a bounced external flash such as the 270EX though. Speaking of the 270EX, it makes a perfect mate for this camera because it is so small but still offers bounce capability. I am able to squeeze it into the Tamrac travel case that I use for the camera.

The creative possibilities with the G11 are tremendous since output is really very good and the artistic control and features are so comprehensive. Kudos to Canon for the brave move of downsizing the megapixel count and focusing on image quality. The improvement in ISOs above 80 is very significant - I used it repeatedly at ISO 400 on a recent trip. With my old G9 I would not have considered using this setting because of the cost in image noise and quality. Battery life in my experience is very good and reliability overall for the camera looks promising since I used it in rain, sub-zero and hot temperatures without a hitch.

If there are any drawbacks to the camera for me, they are that the controls are a little crowded for my average male hands and the multipurpose rotary dial on the back could use improvement, it is too cramped and spins too easily. The camera is otherwise so good that I don’t mind working around this.

5 Stars Canon G11 Terrific Camera
This camera has great features and controls. It has great manual controls and the ease of changing white balance is very handy. I seem to always take a great picture every time. The color swap and color accent are very creative options. My canon 5D is a great camera, not as handy and not always with me like the G11. The 5D doesn’t have many of the features either that are found on the G11. The image quality is excellent! At 3200 ISO the grain makes an impressionist image. All the controls are in the right place making shooting in the dark easy. ( you may say I am shooting in the dark now) If you compare it to a pro level Canon with an L series lens it is a bit unfair ….. you can’t put it in your pocket…if its not with you you miss the shot! Get the point? and shoot!

5 Stars So glad I bought this!
After comparing my friend’s pictures with the G10 to my older Canon point and shoot, I decided I wanted a better camera. I bought the Canon PowerShot G11. I do a lot of travelling and I want to take great pictures suitable for framing. I read the book a few times and practiced before I went on vacation to New Zealand. I took several “money shots” and the camera worked perfectly. The zoom is incredible. I also like using the features under “Program” setting, like enhancing greens and blues. I ordered the Magic Lantern guide for the G11 and I hope this will give me even more tips on how to take great photos. I consider this to be a good camera for someone who is getting more serious about digital photography. I have no regrets buying this camera. You should do it! I bought it on Amazon.com. Oh- I also recommend buying the Sandisk Extreme III HD 8 MB card.Canon PowerShot G11 10MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle Optical Stabilized Zoom and 2.8-inch articulating LCD

The NB-4L is a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery pack for Canon PowerShot models SD200 and SD300. It’s made to withstand approximately 300 recharges. When shooting with the LCD monitor off, you can expect approximately 400 images when fully charged, or 140 images when shooting with the LCD monitor on under normal environmental and shooting conditions. Similarly, the battery offers about 180 minutes of image playback time.

It may be the slimmest Digital ELPH Canon has ever created, but the impact couldn’t be bigger. The PowerShot SD780 IS Digital ELPH captivates the senses with bold saturated colors and a daringly original design that matches the intensity of Canon’s most innovative camera technology. Even when picture-taking conditions seem pretty unforgiving, you’ve got Canon on your side. So the shots you used to miss are the images you’ll now be sharing, and the movies you never took before will be HD unforgettable.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Amazon customer service = A+
I write this not really to review the canon camera, but rather to talk about my amazon experience. I purchased the canon 780is for my wife for Christmas. She loved it. I thought it looked great, and took remarkable pictures especially in comparison with my 7 year old 4 mega pixel canon A520. After Christmas we took a trip to Coronado, CA and we were taking pictures while on a bike ride around the island. At one point the camera was dropped, while on and with the lens out. The camera landed right on the lens and jammed it in a way that it would not go back into the camera body, making the camera inoperable.

I emailed amazon when we got home and told them exactly how the camera was dropped and is now inoperable. To my surprise and excitement, amazon emailed back in about 45 minutes to say that they had placed an order for the exact same camera to replace my broken model. Just like that. Pretty amazing customer service policy if you asked me. My new camera has arrived and my old damaged camera is being sent back to amazon.

Customer service like this is what builds great companies. I will be visiting amazon for all of my online product shopping from this point on. Thanks amazon. I’m spreading the word.

5 Stars Canon SD780 IS digital camera is perfect for just about any use
I had previously purchase the SD1000 camera back in March of 2007, which was an upgrade from the Powershot S45 model. Going to an Elph body brought with it lots of bonuses, like being able to take my camera to concerts and other places where a bigger camera was not an option.

After more than 2 years with the SD1000, it was time to upgrade both my camera and my wife’s. She got the SD1000 while I ended up with the SD 780 IS.

I would have purchased this camera locally, but the color options were limited to bright red and solid black, neither of which was appealing to me or where I would use the camera.

As with the SD1000, I used my camera on a self made camera mount on my scooter - a 2006 Honda Metropolitan. I film various videos throughout the spring and summer and having a small digital makes for some excellent footage.

This camera also has an HD mode for video, which I’ve only used a few times in test videos. In the near future, I will be using this mode more often.

Image stabilization is nice, but I’ve not noticed any major improvements over using a camera that doesn’t have it. Perhaps more testing with this feature is needed, but overall, I’ve not missed the IS feature.

Photo wise, it takes incredible pictures at just about any resolution. I have mine in 1600×1200 mode, which is 2 megapixel and perfect for most of my photo needs (blogging, family photos, gatherings, outdoors activities). One nice bonus feature is that it remembers your flash setting during a power off and power back on again. Meaning, if you turned off the flash the last time you used it, the next time you power it back on, the flash will remain off. This is a great feature when you are in a place where flash pictures are not allowed, making it so you don’t forget to check the flash setting before taking the picture.

For the price, this is a great camera for a wide variety of uses and it’s proven itself to be a great model.

The two gotchas are on this camera are:

- the SD1000 used a .AVI extension on videos. This SD780 IS changes it to .MOV. Using video footage from both cameras can prove to be difficult to manage individual files.

- the case is all metal which is nice, but if you have wet or greasy fingers, it makes it slippery. Adding a clear cover like InvisiSheild helps add some grip to the camera.

5 Stars Great pocket camera
Bought this camera as a replacement for a previous model. It is thinner than the one I replaced. The size is great - fits easily into the pockets of my cargo shorts. Uses the same battery as previous model and charger. Now I have a backup battery and charger I can use for traveling. Great point and shoot camera. Great for snap shots at any gathering. Lots of modes - love the black and white and sephia modes. Fun to try out all of the features. Have enlarged pictures to 8×10 and am very happy with the quality. I got the red for fun.

5 Stars I Love this Camera!
This is my new favorite camera. I seem to buy cameras frequentrly & this one is the best.

5 Stars This camera is great.
My nephew researched the best digital cameras using various websites and publications. He chose this camera as did his father. They both recommended it to me. After getting this and using it for about a month and a half, I have to agree with them - this is a good camera.

5 Stars Best I’ve ever owned!
It is so easy to use! But also take the best pictures of any camera I’ve ever owned! The pictures in low light have even turned out! I haven’t even had to use anything but auto yet! If I try manual who knows how much more I can do! The zoom is so much more then I’ve got with any other camera. LOVE IT!

4 Stars Excellent!
This is a great camera- the macro is just as amazing as I expected. My only complaint is that the image quality is a little worse in low light, but that may be just in comparison to the superb macro images.

5 Stars Best point and shoot I’ve ever used!
I did a lot of research before purchasing this camera, and I can now safely say that I made the right choice when I bought the SX200. The picture quality is excellent, the full assortment of manual controls is great, and the overall build quality of the camera is second to none. I have yet to encounter an aspect of the camera which I do not like. I would have thought the ever-present pop-up flash would be distracting and cumbersome, but you really don’t notice it at all. Another aspect of this camera that really impresses me is how fast you can take multiple pictures. In good light, I can easily squeeze off three pictures in less than two seconds. That’s a great feature that no other P&S I’ve ever used has been able to match. Overall, I really can’t see how you can go wrong with the SX200 and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something more than your average P&S camera.

5 Stars An Excellent Purchase! Very happy!
The first digital camera I owned was a Canon, and it had gone everywhere with me for 6 years and outlived many cameras owned by friends and family. So when it came time to purchase another camera, I didn’t look anywhere but to Canon. I initially was going to go up to the DSLR, but with all of the outstanding specs and reviews attached to this camera, I decided to give it a chance and I am extremely happy that I did. Not only is this camera a steal for its price, but it is very comparable in quality of pictures to that of the DSLR without the fuss and baggage. This camera, while bigger than the PowerShots, is still compact enough to fit in your pocket, purse, or whatnot, for easily accessible photo opportunities. The variety of options for photo shooting (night time, aquarium, snow, fireworks, sunset, etc.) are very useful and provide for more photo options while maintaining excellent quality. It is also suited with a Li+ battery, as opposed to the AA battery operated Canons, which I prefer, and it has a remarkable battery life. The screen is large and the resolution is excellent. It does take some time to get accustomed to all of the new features attached to this camera, but once you do, you are limitless in the style and types of pictures you can take. While being a little less user-friendly than the PowerShots, it is still a relatively easy camera to operate. Overall I am very happy with this purchase!

5 Stars Great Camera!
Returned a Nikon Coolpix s630 because some pics were blurry. Not one blurry pic as yet with this camera. I had an old Canon from 2002 that we just loved. Hardly any bad pics from that camera either.

This is a great point and shoot camera with easy to use adjustments for an amateur like me. Highly recommended.

4 Stars Great pictures, but watch out for actual camera quality.
I recently bought this camera before a trip to Belize. It took great snorkeling pictures. and stayed waterproof the whole time. I never took it deeper than what I could free dive though so I can’t speak to diving depths. My friends were all very impressed with the pictures I was able to take. It was also extremely easy to use, and it was easy to change settings under water. My only complaint is that the strap attachment is not dependable. I had a strap attached to one of the corners and the metal piece on the corner of the camera actually broke off. It was just glued on! Fortunately it broke in the boat and not underwater and I was able to move the strap to a different corner. Needless to say, I don’t hold it by the strap underwater anymore as it can’t be trusted.

5 Stars Canon PowerShot D10
Got this camera for a trip to the Galapagos to take underwater pictures. It arrived early in December when my roses were still blooming and it was snowing. Took the camera for a test drive and when out into the snow and snapped away. Great macro shots, not as much zoom as my Canon S5IS but more than adequate. Next test was using the movie mode to record my granddaughter’s violin recital. Adequate pictures but next time will use a tripod.

Glad I purchased this camera and will be using it soon on my trip of a lifetime.

4 Stars Eco-Tour
This camera is used with our eco-tours & works well in and out of the water during our trips. It’s small, light & takes great pictures.

1 Stars D10 failed in less than 5′ of water in the first month of ownership
Pros: 12 megapixels

Cons: Was not rugged, was not water proof. Camera failed at about 30 days old

My wife and I bought this camera for our trip to Puerto Rico in which we intended to spend a lot of time in the ocean. On our second day in the water the display started to flicker and then eventually would not even come on. Now the camera won’t even turn on. We never went in water deeper than 5′ deep with the camera. This has been a huge disappointment. Canon has offered to replace the camera, but since they claim they do not have any dealers in Puerto Rico, I am out of luck until I can ship it back, let their techs investigate, and ship a new one. Unfortunately that leaves me high and dry on my vacation right now. I cannot afford to have another D10 fail on me while on my next vacation. My pictures and videos are worth too much to me to leave it so such a poorly designed camera. This camera is my 3rd Canon and the first time I have ever been disappointed with one of their cameras.

5 Stars Best pre-trip purchase EVER!
We’re SO glad we bought this camera prior to our trip to Fiji. It was so fun to play around with, has an amazing lens capable of depth of field shots, takes some great underwater photos, and includes lots of features I would never have expected in such a compact camera (like manual focus and spot color). It’s also really good at detecting faces - it even detected the face of the woman on the Fijian dollar!

We loved it!
